Snow Accommodation and Activities

We are expecting snow and are really hoping that it will happen, as we desperately need the water! According to our local weather app it is due to start falling on Wednesday night and throughout Thursday, but this might still change. So hold thumbs!

As part of our fundraising effort, we are opening up the dorms and facilitator rooms to accommodate families who would like to stay over and get the full snow fun experience! There are no more accommodation available anywhere else in Hogsback. We do not normally allow mixed gender sleepovers in our dormitories, but we will make the dorms available to family groups with separate gender allocated bathrooms. There will space between beds for social distancing.

Cost

The cost is R200 per person/child.

Bedding

Please bring your own bedding.  Each bed has a mattress.  Remember that it is going to be cold, so bring warm blankets along. Bring towel and toiletries, fire wood (for the small dining room fireplace) or a braai. No alcohol on site.

There is a communal kitchen with stove, fridges, freezers and plastic crockery. Preferably bring your own.

Catering

We do not do catering and the communal kitchen will be closed. Please bring your own coffee/tea/sugar and kettle. There are braai facilities and you are encouraged to support the local restaurants or take away services (takeaways.hogsback.info, restaurants.hogsback.info)

Activities

We will be opening up our adventure courses for some really “cool” activities. Come and zip over the snow, do a snow trapeze and more. All activities are between R30 and R50. To see the activities Hobbiton offer, click here
